Kristen Maize was born and raised on the island of St. John. After attending college in San Diego and Australia she returned home, and now works in the science field and dedicates much of her time to her passion for painting. After returning and re-immersing herself in the community, she has found a renewed interest in the surrounding island environment. While her paintings focus on a variety of subjects, her dedication to color and visual imagery can be seen throughout her work.
